Bong Talks
The Cambodian Cultural Centre proudly presents Bong Talks — a new speaker series bringing together knowledgeable voices to share ideas, stories, and perspectives on topics that resonate with Cambodians at home and across the diaspora. From ancient and modern history to Buddhism, geopolitics, and folklore, Bong Talks fosters learning, dialogue, and a deeper connection to our shared heritage.
Our inaugural event: Cambodia Pre and Post-War: 3 Perspectives.
History isn't just found in books — it lives in the voices of those who witnessed it, survived it, and carry its lessons forward. Three remarkable speakers — Brian McConaghy, Sophoan Seng, and Khloeum Cheth Oum — will each share a distinct perspective on Cambodia before and after the war. Their stories will challenge what you think you know, reveal untold experiences, and celebrate the resilience of the Khmer people.
Guiding the conversation is Vanny Whitchelo, creator and host of Khmer Voices.

Learn Khmer
Learn a new skill and connect with culture
Learn Khmer in our fun, supportive 12-week programs for both kids and adults, offered at Level 1 (Beginner) and Level 2 (Intermediate).
Beginner classes build a strong foundation in vocabulary, pronunciation, and everyday conversation, while intermediate classes help students grow in confidence, expand their skills, and communicate more naturally.
Whether learning through interactive play (kids) or practical conversation (adults), these courses are a great way to connect with Khmer language and culture at the Cambodian Cultural Centre.

We are thrilled to introduce our newly established non-profit organization, the Cambodian Cultural Centre. Our mission is to promote the rich heritage of Khmer culture, arts, music, and cuisine through a variety of engaging events. We believe in the importance of education and are dedicated to providing opportunities for learning the Khmer language and understanding our history. Through our initiatives, we aim to foster a deeper appreciation for Khmer culture while making a positive impact on the lives of those we serve
